About the Position & Lab
The Healthcare Systems Engineering Institute (HSyE) focuses on research, application, and education in the use of systems engineering, quality improvement, and data/process analysis methods to address important healthcare problems, with over 30 years of experience improving healthcare quality, logistics, safety, efficiency, equity, and access. We are seeking a research assistant for the summer or fall semesters, with the opportunity to extend based on fit. You will gain experience working on a research team, being responsible for project tasks, managing time effectively, and presenting results. You will contribute to a research team on one of our projects addressing community health center care, patient safety, clinician burnout, hospital capacity, or geriatric care. Qualified candidates should be detail-oriented, interested in personal growth, eager to develop new skills, and passionate about making healthcare better. Familiarity with data analysis, industrial engineering, improvement science, statistics, website design, or programming are desirable but not required.
