About the Position & Lab
The REID Lab at Northeastern University focuses on understanding how the human body grows, develops, and responds to different challenges, with the goal of improving health and well-being. The lab offers opportunities for individuals to participate in research studies that contribute to our understanding of human health and development.
One of their current studies is the Bridging Emotions and Nutrition in Pregnancy (BEAN) Study, which examines how stress influences nutrition during pregnancy. The study is seeking participants who are between 22 and 38 weeks pregnant and live in the Boston metropolitan area. The lab is also developing the BEANIE Study, which will extend its research to infants.
Research opportunities may take place online, in participants' homes, or at Northeastern University's Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex (ISEC). Participants receive information about study procedures, have opportunities to ask questions, and can withdraw at any time. Some studies also offer compensation or other benefits. Those interested in contributing to research on health and development are encouraged to explore the lab's current opportunities and learn more about participation.
